Replace GFCI Outlet in Las Vegas, Nevada & Salt Lake City, Utah

Ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) are an added layer of defense helping to prevent electrocution. They can detect differences in the amount of electricity flowing out and into the circuit, and will trip or shut off the circuit if a current as small as 4 or 5 milliamps is detected. GFCIs are usually installed in bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and garages. GFCIs should not be confused with arc fault circuit interrupters (AFCIs), which are safety devices that address fire hazards; GFCIs handle shock hazards.

GFCIs can be tested by pushing the TEST button. If the power to the circuit turns off, then the GFCI is working properly. If the GFCI is not working, you should contact a qualified electrician to replace it.
